On May 1st, the Kellin Foundation gathered with some of Guilford County's most passionate community supporters for Journey to Brave, a sold-out evening at Starmount Forest Country Club that raised critical funds toward completing the Hope Hub.
The Kellin Foundation has been serving Guilford County since 2013 with a belief that earlier and easier access to care should reach people before crisis, not after. Their integrated care model aligns clinical, peer, and wraparound services as one system, with coordinated access to housing, food, employment, and family supports, so people can stabilize, heal, and build hope for what's next.
That belief is what the Hope Hub is built on. The Hope Hub is Kellin's vision for earlier, easier access to mental health and substance use care, a place where people of all ages can get help before things reach a breaking point and stay connected to support long after. What makes it different isn't just what's offered under one roof. It's how it all connects. Clinical care, peer support, and wraparound services including housing, food access, employment, and family supports are aligned as one coordinated experience, so people don't have to navigate a fragmented system alone. The goal is to prevent, treat, and heal: strengthening individuals, families, and the community across every stage of the journey.
"Journey to Brave is one of those nights where you look around the room and think, this is what Greensboro is made of. The Kellin Foundation is changing the landscape of mental health care and I am so proud to support it," said Pilar Powell Ramaswamy, KW One Realtor, Kellin Foundation board member, and Journey to Brave table sponsor.
The evening's Fund a Need brought the room together around completing the Hope Hub, currently at approximately 74% of its $10 million goal, with plans for a performing arts space, culinary lab, drop-in childcare, a senior center, and full elevator accessibility. A lively live auction closed out a successful night of fundraising and community support.
