Honey Bee Pediatric Dental Co. (https://honeybeepdc.com) was founded by Dr. Casey and Dr. Becca after years of working together as associate pediatric dentists. Through their experiences, they shared a vision of creating a dental practice where every child, parent, and team member feels genuinely excited to be there. They wanted to build a place where children look forward to their visits, team members love coming to work, and parents feel heard, valued, and involved.

"Our goal was simple," Dr. Casey says. "To create a place where every child leaves saying, 'I can't wait to come back.'"

The practice opened its first location in Lawrence, Kansas, focusing on making dental visits fun, comfortable, and positive. The response from local families was excellent, and the business quickly grew. In 2023, Honey Bee expanded to Lenexa, allowing the practice to serve more families throughout the Kansas City metro area. As demand for care increased, they expanded again in 2025 with a third location in Prairie Village.

Today, Honey Bee has grown from a two-doctor startup into a thriving team of four pediatric dentists and more than 50 team members. To support this growth, the founders welcomed Dr. Meredith and Dr. Bri to the team. All four doctors are board-certified or board-eligible pediatric dental specialists who have completed years of advanced training focused exclusively on caring for children.

While each doctor arrived in Kansas City through a different path, they all stayed for the same reason: the incredible community. The doctors share a deep love for the area and are all raising their own families locally.

Dr. Casey grew up in western Kansas and moved to the Kansas City area in 2016. She is married to a general dentist, and they have three young children. Dr. Becca grew up in St. Louis, attended dental school at the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry, and returned to the area in 2018. She and her husband, who is also a general dentist, have two young children.

Dr. Meredith was born and raised in Overland Park. She attended dental school at UMKC and enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog. Dr. Bri grew up in a small town in Missouri, also attended UMKC, and moved back to the area two years ago after completing her residency. She is married to a general dentist and has a young daughter.

"Kansas City has a unique way of feeling like both a vibrant city and a close-knit hometown," the doctors share. "We love the friendly people, strong sense of community, excellent schools, family-friendly activities, and the genuine support local families show one another."

As a specialty practice, Honey Bee focuses exclusively on infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs. Their services include comprehensive exams, preventive care, fillings, and sedation options. Additionally, Dr. Casey and Dr. Becca co-founded Kansas City Tongue Tie Co. (https://kctonguetieco.com), a specialty practice dedicated to evaluating and treating oral restrictions like tongue ties and lip ties.

What sets the practice apart is their commitment to partnering with parents. "We believe parents know their children best," Dr. Becca notes. "We strive to ensure they feel heard, respected, and involved in every treatment decision."

The doctors advise parents to focus on prevention and start visits early, ideally by a child's first birthday. By establishing healthy routines and keeping dental conversations positive, parents can help set the stage for a lifetime of confident smiles.
