Meet our family! Steve and Nicky, proud Livonia natives, have been calling Commerce

home for many years now and feel incredibly grateful to have found a wonderful

community like Lake Sherwood to call home. Together, as a blended family, we’re

raising four amazing kids who bring so much joy to our lives. Kinsley, our vibrant 14-

year-old, leads the way as the oldest, with Kate, our spirited and spunky 11-year-old,

following close behind. Beckham, 8, and Carter, 6, bring endless energy and laughter to

our household.

Adding even more love to the mix are our two precious Cavalier King Charles spaniels, Reecey

and Laney, who never fail to steal the spotlight with their sweetness. Our family is all

about love, laughter, and making memories together.

We absolutely love living in Lake Sherwood! The abundance of family-oriented activities truly

makes this community feel special, and we’re so appreciative of the dedicated committee who

puts so much effort into planning them all. 

With four kids, we’re never at a loss for things to do. Kinsley is a natural at wake surfing and can’t get enough of it, Kate loves camping on the island as a family and taking our dingy out for a cruise with her friends, Beckham enjoys tubing and playing soccer on the island, and Carter spends countless happy hours fishing off our dock. Lake Sherwood is the perfect place for creating lasting family memories!

Our family thrives on energy, connection, and the joy of togetherness! With action-packed

schedules that keep everyone on the go, each of us bring unique interests to the mix. Kinsley

shines as a cheerleader for Lakeland High School, spreading school spirit with enthusiasm.

Kate enjoyed playing volleyball on a team with her friends and is looking forward to trying her

hand at basketball. Beckham and Carter add to the excitement by giving it their all on flag

football and baseball teams. Amid all the activity, Mom and Dad’s favorite hobby is spending quality time together and as a family, creating lasting memories and cherishing every moment.

Whether at games, practices, or simply relaxing together, our family is the perfect blend of love, teamwork, and adventure!

proud business owners, balancing the demands of parenthood with running successful

Companies! Steve and his best friend from second grade, Mike, co-own Amistee Air Duct Cleaning and Insulation, a trusted air duct cleaning company that’s been serving the community for nearly two decades. This January, they’ll celebrate an incredible milestone: 20 years in business! Their dedication to improving air quality and home comfort has made them a household name in the industry.

Nicky’s hardworking and dedicated nature has always been a driving force in everything she

does. Overachieving has been her focus from the start, which is how she built The Accounting Theory, an accounting firm in Commerce, from the ground up nearly eight years ago. Her

commitment to excellence and passion for helping her clients succeed have made her firm a

trusted resource in the community.
