“I began working and training dogs in 2000 when my passion became my job,” says Jessica Cherubini, owner and operator of Wooflands Pet Sitting. “I was a dancer for the Houston Ballet. My dogs then became my hobby.” She would pet sit for her work colleagues and ballet patrons during breaks. Upon retiring from ballet due to knee injuries, she owned and operated Elite Pilates studios from 2005 to 2019. In that time period, she worked with pet trainers and attended clinics and courses, covering everything from holistic pet nutrition to mantrailing. She even dabbled in Pilates and aromatherapy for horses. Her endeavors were all about providing the very best for each and every animal she encountered, and she continues to do so now with Wooflands Pet Sitting.

Outside of work, Jessica has been married to her husband, Jason, for seventeen years. They have two amazing kids: sixteen-year-old Isabella and thirteen-year-old Rafe. “They are all part of my animal-loving tribe, having owned and cared for pets of all kinds from birth,” Jessica shares. “Be it mucking stalls for horses and sheep, rounding up hens and their eggs, or being the starter home for service dogs, this family has seen it and done it.”

In 2021, Jessica and her family moved from Fulshear to The Woodlands and found themselves picking up care for the pets of both neighbors and friends. Jason transitioned from a finance role in oil and gas to working from home for an international events marketing company, so Jessica began accepting more clients. She made it official with an LLC, business insurance, and the like. Presto, she was a new little business.

Wooflands Pet Sitting offers in-home pet sitting and dog walking, and on a case-by-case basis, offers both boarding,  puppy training, and obedience training. With a vast knowledge of the field, Jessica is able to provide each and every animal under her supervision with the very best, most personal care. In essence, she treats your pets like her own and provides detailed updates and pictures.

In the future, Jessica will continue to provide the best care for current clients and their fur families while also meeting new ones along the way. She’s passionate about helping her clients in any way she can.
