Parks Tax & Consulting PLLC
For Holly Parks, owner and operator of Parks Tax & Consulting, the usual tax season's "April crunch" and pattern of unanswered emails are totally outdated. Her vision, a total reimagining of tax season, focuses on responsiveness, education, and year-round guidance. She built her practice around that promise, and around a workplace that supports it. “After over a decade at Deloitte, I launched Parks Tax & Consulting in 2020 because the industry needed a serious service-model shift,” Holly shares. As a firm that empowers women and genuinely supports its team with flexibility and clear growth paths, Holly Parks and the whole team at Parks Tax & Consulting intentionally align the way they serve their clients and the way they support their team.
Before running her own business, she grew up in the Sugar Land and Richmond area before heading to College Station, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting from Texas A&M University. She then went on to earn her CPA license in 2009 and spent twelve years at Deloitte before launching her own firm.
Now five years and counting in business, Parks Tax & Consulting offers year-round income tax preparation and planning for individuals and small businesses, along with full-service bookkeeping, payroll, and fractional CFO guidance. The firm's approach is proactive and transparent. Clients also receive an optional personalized video walkthrough of each return so they feel informed and confident all year. Parks Tax & Consulting serves a few niche markets especially well: small business owners, the equestrian industry, and globally mobile families and executives (expatriates and foreign nationals).
The difference between Parks Tax & Consulting and your average tax office is the rhythm and the relationship. At Parks, they don’t just file your taxes; they plan with you. That means year-end check-ins to tune withholdings and map life changes when they still matter “so April isn’t a surprise party you didn't RSVP to.” For business owners, the full-service bookkeeping gives a real-time view of operations so the team can advise early, not react late. Parks Tax & Consulting has a system of built-in explanations so you’re never left in the dark by initiating touchpoints throughout the year. They turn expertise into better choices, fewer penalties, and a tax season that feels organized and manageable.
In the community, Holly and the Parks Tax team stay involved in ways that both strengthen individuals and the local business ecosystem. As a Girl Scout Troop Leader, Holly is also deeply committed to developing female leaders through Girl Scout initiatives that build confidence, financial literacy, and leadership. On the education front, the firm is launching a webinar series to share practical, step-by-step guidance with taxpayers and fellow CPAs.
About the future, Holly says she’s focused on “growing thoughtfully,” with an emphasis on “more capacity without losing our boutique feel.” That means expanding the team with the right mix of professionals, continuing to advance women in meaningful roles, and refining the proactive cadence on which clients rely. They’ll also launch their new webinar series, starting with “The Boutique Approach to Schedule C,” to open up the how and why behind good tax practice.
Holly and her husband, Ross, have lived in the Magnolia area since 2018 with their two children: six-year-old Hailey and three-year-old Lawson. When she’s not wrangling tax forms, she’s wrangling a horse. Holly has been involved in equestrian sport for nearly thirty years and is currently producing a young homebred mare for dressage. She also sponsors an arena in North Texas and serves on the Calf Scramble Committee for the Montgomery County Fair & Rodeo.
Holly Parks believes women really can have it all. “Hard seasons come and go,” she says. “With dedication and drive, it’s absolutely possible to be a dedicated wife, a present mother, and an ambitious business owner.” It’s this belief and strong principles that make Holly who she is, and make Parks Tax & Consulting what it is. There are no limits; it’s out with the old and in with the new, because your financial security should never be tied to tradition. For Holly Parks and Parks Tax & Consulting, they’re building a new tradition, a new tax season experience, from the ground up.
