The Haberberger Family
Making the Most of Life at Lake Winnebago

Nestled by the shores of Lake Winnebago, Adam and Abby Haberberger, along with their three children, Brooks, Chase, and Quinn, and their sweet golden retriever, Riley, have found the perfect place to call home. A family that thrives on outdoor activities, community involvement, and spending time with loved ones, the Haberbergers love living in this special community.
A Family That Moves and Grows Together
Abby and Adam’s journey began years ago when they met while attending the University of Missouri (GO TIGERS!). Adam, originally from Washington, Missouri, earned his degree in engineering, while Abby, from Independence, Missouri, pursued her passion for teaching and earned her elementary education degree. After college, Adam moved around the country for work while Abby pursued her master’s degree and specialist degree. After relocating back to Kansas City, Adam and Abby planted their roots in Lee’s Summit, MO where they started their family.
Adam now works as a Project Manager for Burns & McDonnell, while Abby enjoys staying home with their youngest children, Chase and Quinn. Before deciding to stay home with their kids, Abby was a 4th grade teacher in Blue Springs, Missouri, where she enjoyed making a positive impact on her students’ lives.
The Kids and Their Many Passions
The Haberberger kids enjoy staying busy and are involved in many activities. Brooks, the oldest at 9 years old, enjoys playing flag football, basketball, soccer, and water skiing. In the summer, he attends several camps, one of his favorites being Kanakuk. Chase, 4 years old, is already following in his brother’s footsteps with a love for sports, playing flag football, soccer, t-ball, and basketball. He’s also developed a love for horses, and enjoys taking horseback riding lessons. Quinn, at 3 years old, enjoys playing outside, keeping up with her older brothers, swimming, and gymnastics.
As a family, the Haberbergers enjoy spending time together. From biking and swimming to simply playing games, they cherish the time they spend as a family. With the boys both playing sports, Adam actively coaches both Brooks’ and Chase’s teams. Meanwhile, Abby stays involved in the community by volunteering in the kids’ program at their church.
A Strong Connection to Their Community
One of the most important aspects of life at Lake Winnebago is the sense of community. According to Abby, “When I think of Winnebago, the word that comes to mind is fun! There’s always something to do, whether it’s a family event, a community gathering, or just enjoying the beauty of the lake. It’s a place where people come together and truly support one another.”
The family enjoys having great neighbors who look out for one another and foster a welcoming, friendly environment. They also enjoy the lake’s beauty and the kid-friendly activities that are always happening nearby. Whether it’s a holiday gathering, a neighborhood event, or just spending a day on the water, there’s never a shortage of things to do.
The family also enjoys traveling. Some favorites are visiting relatives in North Carolina or enjoying trips to destinations like Colorado and Rosemary Beach.
The Haberbergers are big Kansas City Chiefs and Missouri Tigers fans. They love making a trip to Arrowhead or back to Columbia, MO whenever possible to support their favorite teams.
Lake Winnebago: A Hidden Gem
For Adam, Abby, and their kids, Lake Winnebago offers the perfect combination of natural beauty, community spirit, and an active lifestyle. From its picturesque lakeside views to its welcoming neighbors and abundance of outdoor activities, Lake Winnebago is truly a hidden gem.
The Haberbergers know that Lake Winnebago is a place where memories are made, friendships are formed, and life is always full of fun. They are a family that is always on the go and making the most of every moment, and they wouldn’t have it any other way!
