At the beginning of winter, I captured these two peaceful Pacific Northwest scenes.

The first photo shows Mount Rainier glowing in the soft golden light of an early winter sunset, its snow-covered slopes shining against a darkening sky and framed by evergreen forests below.

The second photo was taken early in the morning, when cold air brushed over the water and created a layer of mist rising from the surface. A lone small boat sits quietly in the middle of the inlet, adding a calm and tranquil feeling to the scene.
