Six years ago, Sharod and I made one of the best decisions of our lives when we planted roots in Landsdale with our three children, Olivia, Jordan, and Tyson. We fell in love with the warmth, charm, and strong sense of community here. That feeling has shaped everything we've done since. So when we decided to leave our careers in information technology and pursue entrepreneurship, it was only natural that our vision would embody the same values we found in this community: genuine care, connection, and service.

After carefully exploring franchise opportunities, we found a brand that truly aligned with who we are. In March, we opened Waxing the City Frederick at the Westview Promenade, and the response from this community has been nothing short of incredible.

Waxing the City Frederick is a modern beauty and skincare studio offering professional face and body waxing for all genders, ages and body types. We use premium hypoallergenic waxes designed for comfort, smooth results, and sensitive skin. Every service is performed by our licensed estheticians, whom we proudly call Cerologists, a title that reflects our proprietary wax technique and their advanced, specialized training.

We also offer brow shaping, facial and body treatments, and customized skincare services, with brow lamination, brow and lash tinting, and lash lifts coming soon. No one is rushed, no one feels out of place, and no detail is overlooked. Guests tell us their visit completely changed their perception of waxing, and that feedback reminds us every day why we chose this path.

As residents and business owners, giving back has been part of our plan from the start. We've worked with the Frederick County Career and Technology Center Cosmetology Program to offer a professional waxing demonstration and share career insight with future beauty professionals. We are proud sponsors of the Landsdale Lightning Swim Team, a program especially close to our hearts since all three of our children have participated, with one earning all-star honors.

We also host special appreciation days for local first responders, law enforcement, educators, and medical professionals. Looking ahead, we are working on future sponsorship efforts supporting Fort Detrick military spouses and their families. We are committed to building genuine relationships and being a meaningful part of Frederick's continued growth.
