The remaining two children live in Illinois and Georgia. With their time split between Arizona and New York and their biannual cross-country trips, they are fortunate to regularly see their children and their families.

A Career in Banking and a Life Between Two Homes
Their professional lives have significantly shaped who they are. Both retired from banking. Ronni specialized in technology and risk management, while John focused on financial accounting. Today, they split their time between their two homes in Las Sendas and Cazenovia, New York.

Hobbies and Traditions
Their home is filled with cherished hobbies and traditions. Ronni and John enjoy playing board games and watching sports together, a pastime that extends into their community. They regularly play cards with the Samba Club at Las Sendas Trailhead.

Traveling is another passion that defines their lives. They have found some travel pals who live in Florida and meet with them throughout the year to plan new adventures. Since retiring in 2016, their journeys have taken them to five African countries, the Arctic Circle, and even Antarctica—officially making them “bipolar travelers”!

Their list of destinations continues to grow. Last year, they spent five weeks in Rome, renting an apartment near the Vatican. They’ve explored many other gems across Europe and South America, including Buenos Aires, where they rang in the 2024 New Year amid the city’s vibrant celebrations.

A Passion for Community
Their years of dedicated volunteer work reflect Ronni and John’s deep love for their neighborhood. They served on Mesa’s Salvation Army Advisory Board for many years, and Ronni spent 15 years on their previous home’s HOA board. She also volunteered with Junior Achievement for approximately 13 years while their grandchildren were in school.

Having owned a home in Las Sendas for 15 years, they see it as a place they’ll continue to call home. For them, it’s the perfect community— welcoming, vibrant, and rich in amenities and activities for people of all ages, whether raising a family or enjoying retirement.
