Rose Marie DiCriscio, the founder and CEO of Allanté Hair Designs & Spa and Glam Brows Studio, has had a passion for beauty since she was a teen. Now, she is a global stylist, master colorist and artist with over 40 years of experience in the industry.

“I was 16 at the time I decided on my career,” DiCriscio says. “I have always been fascinated with beauty and fashion.”

Rose Marie earned her operator’s license in 1982. Since she admired the famous hairdresser Vidal Sassoon, she completed the Vidal Sassoon Academy after finishing Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. Upon earning her cosmetology teacher’s license, she first worked at Command Performance. She later started working at Johnny’s Hairstyling Center in Greensburg, and she went on to teach for several high-end color manufacturers while working as a full-time stylist. Her work has been featured in a variety of magazines and trade books, including Jenn Magazine, Hair Styles, Inspire, Corel Software, Passion and Whirl. 

DiCriscio opened Allanté Hair Designs & Spa with a vision to provide a luxury destination for style and fashion. She has made a name for herself, and her work is well known. Allanté’s clients often refer to the salon as the Ritz-Carlton.

“We’re just so grateful and humble for the success we’ve had,” Rose Marie says. “I’m so very thankful for the clients who have supported me over the years and still come in to this day. Some travel far, very far, to see me. And I’m thankful to have new clients and to be able to expand our services. I’m blessed to still be here in this industry after all these years.”

As a master stylist, Rose Marie says she is dedicated to “never stop learning” and to remaining on the cutting edge of the industry. She holds licenses in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., and she works in top salons in Tyson’s Corner, VA and Georgetown, D.C. 

“I wanted to expand and to be able to give my clients a wide array of styles along with higher quality services,” she explains. “We are very big on continuing education because we want to be at the top of our game.”

All of Allanté’s stylists commit to a minimum of 100 hours of continuing education upon accepting their employment. DiCriscio regularly travels not only to teach but also to take classes herself, including internationally. She wants to remain at the top of today’s industry trends for her younger generation of clientele. Thus she added a new business, Glam Brows Studio.

“I think what keeps people coming back is that continuing education and our customer service,” she emphasizes. “I’m a teacher, but I’m always learning, too. Everyone here is on the cutting edge as far as the latest trends. We want everyone to feel like a part of our family when they’re here, and we inspire them to leave confidently looking their best.”

Rose Marie’s devotion to education is evident in the salon’s range of services. Allanté’s haircare services include master styling, European color services, hair sculpting, hair extensions, keratin treatments, massages and men’s barbering services. Makeup artistry, waxing, eyelash extensions, spray tanning, facials and other spa services are available. Allanté has also developed an exclusive Platinum Signature Series of haircare products to keep clients looking their best when styling their hair at home.

DiCriscio’s permanent makeup studio, Glam Brows, offers eyebrow microblading and PMU (permanent makeup) for brows and lips. Allanté also provides Botox and filler services by Dr. Muna Jabbour, a licensed doctor of internal medicine with a secondary certification in aesthetics, once monthly.

Rose Marie is a regional educator of Zenagen, a hair loss restoration line, and she offers their products along with personalized services for clients suffering from hair loss due to cancer, alopecia or hair thinning.

DiCriscio and her staff are there to make clients feel as comfortable as possible. Allanté offers a complimentary glass of wine along with a smile and friendly conversation. 

“I always tell people, I love my job because I’m a ‘DAYMAKER,’” DiCriscio says. “It is an honor for me to have you take time out of your schedule to come sit in my chair. I love creating, and I love seeing the smile on your face when we’re done. I’m a cheerleader for my clients and for my employees. My passion is to help my clients reach their best potential.”

Allanté Hair Designs & Spa will soon be celebrating 35 years in business, and DiCriscio still has big plans for the future.

“I’m blessed for all of the years we’ve had, and I want to keep expanding,” she comments. “We’re adding more products to our line. I am also excited to welcome inspiring stylists to join our award-winning design team.”
