Our Beyond the Classroom event in November was a huge success with over 75 students and parents attending alongside our 11 business sponsors. The event was hosted at Pilotsmith and we spent the evening networking, discussing resume building tips, and financial aid planning. Our Beyond the Classroom series is a part of the Youth Works Committee through the De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce. Our committee exists to bridge connections between our youth and our local business community to help develop kids outside of the classroom as well as to introduce them to the many career opportunities we have right here in our community. Our next event will take place in the Spring where we will have another focus on networking, the power of your social media profile, and learn about basics beyond the paycheck when getting your first job offer. Students from middle school through college age are welcome to attend with their parents. Check out our Chamber events calendar for more information.
