When Johnny Kinziger walked across the stage as a De Pere High School graduate in 2023, he had already left an unforgettable mark on the Redbird basketball program. As a key contributor to an undefeated state championship team and the recipient of Wisconsin's Mr. Basketball award, he closed one chapter of his career with a list of accomplishments few athletes ever achieve.

Since arriving at Illinois State, however, Kinziger has continued to prove that his best basketball was still ahead of him.

Now entering his senior season, he has become a cornerstone of the Redbirds program and one of the Missouri Valley Conference's most reliable guards. Through steady development, relentless work ethic, and a team-first mentality, he has grown into both a leader and a consistent performer.
