A Pampered Night on the Patio
In the eight years since moving into my home, I had never hosted a formal event here. Part of that may be my desire for perfection and the high bar I tend to set for myself when entertaining. Then there is the guest list. Who do you invite, and where do you cap attendance when you never want anyone to feel left out?
I have attended so many beautiful events over the years where the attention to detail, food and décor has completely blown me away. People are incredibly talented! I once loved entertaining, but those were my days as a stay-at-home mom. When you are running a business, finding the time to host an event is no easy task. Still, I think we accomplished exactly what I envisioned for “A Pampered Night on the Patio.”
In a world filled with busy people and packed schedules, protecting our time matters. I also never want connection to feel forced. My goal was to create a relaxed, low-pressure evening where women could feel pampered and connect naturally.
Our guests included neighbors, business partners, fellow women in business, longtime friends and women I had only recently met. There was no strategy behind the guest list. It was simply a genuine evening created to celebrate women, and although I may be biased, it was absolutely perfect.
With a theme of all things pink, the patio came to life with beautiful décor and thoughtful details. A huge thank-you goes to local business Bride to Brides, which provided the décor and rental pieces that helped create such a wonderful atmosphere.
Throughout the evening, each woman shared a little about herself and how the two of us met. Sometimes we forget exactly how and when certain women were placed in our lives. Hearing each story was such a meaningful reminder, and I felt incredibly grateful.Connecting people and building relationships brings me genuine joy. I feel it to my core, and evenings like this remind me why I love what I do.
We also appreciate every opportunity to showcase the incredible local businesses we are fortunate to partner with. The permanent outdoor lighting that makes our yard glow was installed by Northern Lights Exterior Lighting. Lakeland Lawn Care keeps our property looking beautiful, and many of our flowers come from locally owned InBloom Greenhouse. Our coffee drinks for the evening were provided by Kylie Gruse, owner of The Coffee Bar, and the gorgeous event photos were captured by our friend and partner Ashley Gauthier, owner of The Ash Tree.
Yes, partnering with local businesses is part of our work, but we are also homeowners and consumers who truly love supporting the people and businesses that make this community so special.
If you were unable to attend this Pampered Night on the Patio, don’t worry. We hope to have more gatherings in the works! We want to be mindful of everyone’s busy lives while continuing to create spaces for genuine connection and belonging.
We would also love to collaborate more with our Ledgeview neighborhoods. We often receive requests for smaller, more intimate ladies’ nights, and we have plenty of fun ideas and themes to help bring neighbors together.
If you are interested in hosting or attending a future ladies’ night with us, please reach out. We would love to connect with you!
