Meet the Hardwick Family
What we love most about our neighborhood? The warmth of the people and the feeling that we are truly home.
Hi, neighbors! We’re the Hardwick family: Charlie, Svetlana, and Alina, and we’re so grateful to call Daytona Beach home. Our story is one of faith, family, and new beginnings. Svetlana was born in Ukraine and moved to the United States with her family when she was seven years old, a journey that instilled in us a deep appreciation for resilience, gratitude, and the importance of community.
Years later, our story together began in Knoxville, Tennessee, where we met and quickly discovered that we shared the same values of faith, family, and building a life centered on what matters most. Not long after welcoming our daughter, Alina, we made the difficult decision to move to Daytona Beach when she was just one year old. Leaving behind family, friends, and everything familiar was one of the hardest things we've ever done, but looking back, we can see how God was faithfully leading every step of our journey.
One of the greatest blessings during those early years was finding Redemption City Church. What started as searching for a church quickly turned into finding a church family that embraced us, encouraged us, and helped Florida truly feel like home.
These days, our home is filled with love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos thanks to Alina, our three cats: Coco, Baby Kitty, and Simba, and our Betta fish, Blueberry. Alina keeps us busy with her love of singing, piano, musical theater, gymnastics, and cheerleading. Watching her grow into the young lady God created her to be is one of our greatest joys.
In our free time, we love simply being together; whether we're taking an evening walk, riding our golf cart around the neighborhood, going for family bike rides, or heading to the beach. Charlie played sports throughout his childhood and later went on to play collegiate basketball. He still enjoys getting a game in with friends and family from time to time. Svetlana enjoys serving the community as a local real estate agent, helping families find a place to call home and create memories of their own. Meanwhile Charlie is the General Sales Manager at Daytona Mazda, where he enjoys leading his team and building lasting relationships with customers.
We feel incredibly blessed to have family in both Tennessee and Florida. Much of Svetlana's family still lives in Tennessee, while Charlie's family is here in Florida, so we're fortunate to have the best of both worlds. Although Florida is home, we always look forward to visiting Tennessee to spend time with family and enjoy the beauty and peace of the Smoky Mountains. We are thankful to be part of such a wonderful community here in LPGA International Golf community and look forward to getting to know more of our neighbors.
