Each year, several Lake Forest residents from the St. Michael/St. Patrick Celtic Knights football teams complete a local service project together to kick the season off. This year, they recently volunteered their time at Ironman Louisville. Parents and players spent the day encouraging participants, assisting in transition stops and providing water just before the athletes completed the race. They were definitely one of the most lively stations along the route! Several Ironman participants even came back to thank the crew for their encouragement and energy. Great job helping out in the community!
