Meet Bo!
Big Dog, Bigger Heart

If you’ve seen a very large, very friendly dog cruising around Lake Forest—or maybe flopped across someone’s lap like he weighs 10 pounds instead of 100—you’ve likely already met Bo Harris. At just 16 months old, Bo is a Pressa Canario and Neapolitan Mastiff mix with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a serious case of FOMO—because wherever his people are, Bo is right there too.
Bo’s journey to the Harris family is a story of love and quick thinking. A friend rescued him from being sold out of the back of a pickup truck when he was just over a month old. Knowing the Harris family well, that friend brought Bo straight to them—and sure enough, it was love at first sight.
Since then, Bo has become a beloved part of the family’s daily life. Whether it’s walking the neighborhood, riding in the truck, or settling in for a movie night, Bo is always in the middle of the action. He especially enjoys playing fetch and tug of war—but make no mistake, he’s also a full-time cuddle bug. Despite his impressive size, he fully believes he’s a lap dog.
What makes Bo stand out—besides his massive paws and heart-melting eyes—is his warmth and friendliness. He greets every guest with a toy in his mouth and will soon be resting his large head in your lap. And if there’s a hug happening nearby? Bo is jumping in. He's a hugger, too.
Like many neighborhood dogs, Bo is also treat-motivated and happily accepts anything offered. He’s partial to peanut butter Kongs, bones to bury in the backyard, and his favorite: a shiny-coat-enhancing egg mixed into his food.
Bo isn’t just charming—he’s talented, too. He knows all his basic commands and can “sit up big” on his hind legs. He’ll wait patiently for permission to take a treat and goes straight to “Bo’s bed” or “Bo’s house” (crate) on command. Just don’t expect any dog toy to last too long—Bo has a knack for turning even the toughest toys into confetti.
With his size, Bo might seem intimidating at first glance, but those who know him know he’s the ultimate sweetheart. Friendly with people, great with other dogs, and always ready for a big dog playdate, Bo is proof that the biggest dogs often have the softest hearts.
