Meet Mason Brown

At just eight years old, Mason Brown has already found a way to combine his love of animals with his desire to help others. A third grader at the Montessori School of Louisville, Mason is known around the neighborhood as a dependable animal watcher—someone who helps care for pets of all kinds when neighbors need an extra hand.

Mason lives with his parents, Peyton and Madelyn, and has called the neighborhood home for five years. When he’s not walking pets, Mason keeps busy with a full calendar of activities, including baseball, golf, robotics, and piano. Recently, he added “Fetch & Fun,” his budding pet care service, to the list.

His inspiration came from something he noticed close to home. “There are so many families that walk their pets in the neighborhood. I figured I could help them out if they ever took a vacation,” Mason explains. That simple idea turned into a chance for him to not only spend time with animals but also give his neighbors peace of mind.
For Mason, the joy comes from both the pets and the people. “Being able to be an extra set of hands to help my neighbors take care of their pets is really fun because you get to meet all the other animals that live here,” he says. His helpful spirit doesn’t stop at pets, either. When a neighbor was recovering from surgery, Mason pitched in by bringing up their trash cans on collection day.
What makes Mason unique is his ability to care for many different kinds of pets. Beyond dogs and cats, he knows how to look after bearded dragons, birds, frogs, and even fish. Feeding, playing, and keeping them happy is something he takes seriously—and with a lot of heart.
Balancing school, sports, and his pet care business might sound like a challenge, but Mason has a strong support system at home. “My mom helps me a lot,” he shares. With her encouragement, he’s able to juggle it all while still doing what he loves most.
Mason dreams of working with animals when he grows up, and based on his dedication and compassion, he’s already well on his way. For now, his neighbors (and their pets) are lucky to have such a responsible and kind young helper in their corner.

From walks to belly rubs, Mason is here to help give your pet the extra love they deserve. Reach out to Mason and his mom at (502) 264-7623.
