Witches, Ghost, Serial Killers, Dragons & More = Very Interesting Reading in October!

As the leaves change colors and the days get cooler, we lean into autumn days. At the same time, I like to lean into autumn reading. In October, I favor books that have a spooky or otherworldly bent.

This October, I have the following books on my “To Be Read” list:

  • Tourist Season by Brynne Weaver, the popular author of the Ruinous Love Trilogy. Romance and serial killers, I can’t wait!
  • Good Spirits by B.K. Borison, who wrote the cozy Lovelight Farm series. I will save this one for the end of the month as I move to holiday romances, and this one features the Ghost of Christmas Past.
  • Head Witch in Charge by Avery Flynn. This is the second book in the Witchingdom series. This romance features more than just witches. Watch for trolls, nymphs, satyrs, and more!
  • Dragon Fires Everywhere by Hazel Beck. This is the fourth and final book in the Witchlore series, and a dragon shifter emerges in this witchy romance.
  • Witches of Dubious Origin by Jenn McKinlay. In this novel, a librarian learns she is descended from a long line of powerful witches. She encounters more than just witches in this romance; there are undead Vikings, ghost pirates, and assorted ghouls to keep it all interesting.
I have not read any of these books, but I have read other books by these great authors. As such, I would expect the spice level to be 3-4.
