Young performers from our neighborhood recently took the spotlight in Stopher Elementary School’s production of Junie B. Jones Jr. The Musical, delighting audiences with their energy, talent, and dedication.

The cast and crew had been hard at work since October, preparing for four successful performances that showcased not only their acting and singing abilities, but also their teamwork and commitment. Several Lake Forest residents were among the students involved, making the production a proud moment for our community.

Behind the scenes, parent volunteers also played an important role in supporting the show. One parent shared their perspective from backstage, saying they were especially impressed by the students’ independence and organization. “From that perspective, I was blown away at how organized and self-sufficient the kids were. With little to no assistance from us parents, they knew where to be, when to be there, and what to do between every scene. It was truly impressive.”

The production was a wonderful example of what young students can accomplish with dedication, guidance, and teamwork. Congratulations to all of the performers and volunteers who made this show such a memorable success for Stopher Elementary and our neighborhood.
