Chris launched his mobile golf simulator business after recognizing an opportunity to make golf more convenient and social. “We started a mobile golf simulator business because we saw an opportunity to bring golf to people in a fun and more convenient way,” he shares. “We provide the opportunity to enjoy the game and the social aspect that comes with it, bringing that experience directly to our clients.”

The idea was also deeply personal. Chris was drawn to building something of his own while combining his love of golf with creating meaningful experiences. “Double Birdie provides entertainment for individuals to enjoy the game of golf at their convenience, whether you're new to the game or an experienced player. People of all skill levels will enjoy the simulator. It's been rewarding to see the enjoyment and to provide a fun atmosphere for any party.”

What sets Double Birdie apart is its ability to transform nearly any space into a golf experience. Chris chose this industry because it blends his passions for golf, gaming, and creating memorable experiences. As simulator technology has advanced, he saw the chance to bring the game beyond traditional courses and indoor facilities. “Mobile golf simulators are still a relatively new concept in many markets, which allows us to offer a service that stands out and creates memorable experiences for clients and their guests.”

As a Lake Forest resident, Chris is also passionate about supporting the local community. He encourages neighbors to continue supporting small businesses and to stay open to new experiences. “Small businesses play an important role in creating unique experiences, strengthening the local economy, and bringing people together,” he says. “Some of the best opportunities come from stepping outside your comfort zone and trying something new.”

Chris and his family have called Lake Forest home for six years. Both he and his wife grew up in Louisville, and together they are raising three young children: Mia, Luca, and Leo. Their family also includes Brody, their 8-year-old Goldendoodle. One of their favorite parts of the neighborhood is connecting with other families and watching their children build friendships and enjoy playing together.

There is also plenty of fun built into the business itself. Chris has seen guests of all ages, from young children to grandparents, competing side by side and having a great time. “It’s one of the few activities that can bring together people of different ages and skill levels in a way that's both entertaining and interactive.”

He adds that a little friendly competition often brings out the best in people. “Whether it's a longest-drive challenge, closest-to-the-pin contest, or just playing a round, people often become competitive once they see their shot data and scores on the screen. It's always fun watching coworkers, friends, and family members challenge each other.”

At the end of the day, Chris says it best. “We're not just bringing a golf simulator. We provide an experience that gets people talking, laughing, competing, and making memories together.”
