A Super Bowl Sunday to Remember
The 15th Annual Crisp Family Super Bowl Party Celebrates Service and Community.
For 15 years, the Crisp Family Super Bowl Party has been about far more than touchdowns and halftime shows. What started as a gathering among friends has grown into a beloved tradition — a heartfelt way for CdM residents Gary and Julie Crisp to honor Camp Pendleton Marines and local veterans while bringing the community together in celebration.
This year’s event, held February 8th at American Legion Post 291 in Newport Beach, was the biggest yet, welcoming more than 600 Marines, veterans, and friends. From the moment guests arrived, the energy felt electric. Some cruised the harbor, others tried their luck at blackjack and craps tables, while many took advantage of complimentary haircuts, massages, and photo-worthy moments with Lakers Cheerleaders and Vegas Girls.
The entertainment lineup kept spirits high all afternoon, featuring performances by the USC Band and Spirit Leaders, Santino Brothers wrestlers, and singers Gunnar Latham and DJ Quik. Of course, no Super Bowl party would be complete without incredible food, cold drinks, and friends gathered around giant screens, cheering every play. With Seattle as the crowd favorite, the room erupted when the Seahawks claimed victory.
More than anything, the day reflected the Crisp family’s generous spirit — a celebration filled with laughter, gratitude, and a powerful sense of appreciation for those who serve.
