We had the pleasure of talking with Brandon Hobbs, a prominent figure in the Newport Beach real estate scene, to learn about his journey, his family, and his successful venture, Reason Real Estate.

 

For Brandon, real estate isn’t just a profession; it’s a family affair. He grew up in Cowan Heights in North Tustin and attended Salem Lutheran and Orange Lutheran High Schools in Orange while working for his dad in the real estate industry. "My dad is a developer and continues to build new communities, apartment buildings, senior communities, and more, and my mom does all their interior design work for their models," he shares. "So, to say I grew up living and breathing real estate would be an understatement."

 

After high school graduation, Brandon briefly attended Arizona State University before opening an advertising agency catering to builders and developers. His expertise led him to Zillow, where he played a pivotal role in opening their Orange County office. Eventually, Brandon left Zillow to take on the role of president and partner of an Irvine-based properties company that integrated domestic and international real estate services. During this time, Brandon founded and eventually sold a software company, RealContact, to BoomTown, a real estate marketing technology company. He also co-founded Orange County-based marketing agency Brown & Hobbs, successfully executing high-profile marketing and public relations campaigns for local and national brands.

 

Today, Brandon continues to expand his real estate presence through Reason Real Estate and Reason Mortgage, the business he and his wife, Aislynn, own and operate together. Combining his entrepreneurial spirit with his dedication, integrity, and passion for real estate and marketing, he has sold over 1,100 homes and earned more than 440 five-star reviews in the process.

With a strong foundation in real estate, Brandon and Aislynn have successfully established themselves in Newport Beach, raising their three boys (with a fourth boy on the way!) and loving every minute of it. Their oldest, a 7-year-old, attends Carden Hall, while their 3-year-old is at Little Lighthouse. Their youngest, at just 1 year old, is exploring the joys of being a stay-at-home "troublemaker."
