What are your family members' names?    

Ashley, Jason, Xander and Andrew Weinman. 

Jason was a vendor that provided service to a Mike Smith Honda, where Ashley was a service advisor in Beaumont, Texas. 

Do you have pets? Tell us a little about them.    

We have one pet. His name is Rocky, he is a reverse brindle boxer, and he is a menace to society. 

A little bit of all over. Ashley grew up in Fairfax, Virginia, and lived in Texas prior to moving to Indiana. Jason has worked in 28 states over 20 years and is originally from Ohio. 

Ashley is the only educated adult in the household, and she attended Winthrop University in South Carolina. 

  

What are your professions?    

Ashley is a fixed operations director at two Ford stores and works for D Patrick. Jason is a market manager for Gerber Collision and Glass in central Indiana.

Rocky is a full-time pain in the backside, though he doesn’t receive consistent pay for his occupation 

What kind of activities are your kids involved in?    

Andrew runs track, cross country, and enjoys playing more video games than I’d care to share. Xander is in band, even though he doesn't want to be, and does a great job. He also enjoys mindless video games as a pastime.

Do you have family traditions?    

We have family dinner night on Fridays. While we feed the kids regularly, it is often a grab-and-go situation vs. sitting down and enjoying the company as we do on Fridays. 

We really like to vacation. The boys enjoy any rental we can find that has a pool table or similar. Ashley and Jason enjoy having fewer work calls during these times as well! 

Individual hobbies?    

Ashley is pretty much a professional bread baker. She has been doing it for a few months. 

Jason’s work is kind of a hobby, too, based on the amount of time he spends working and trying to be a good student of the business while supporting an all-star team of general managers 

Both young men have almost made a career out of staring at their phones and reviewing many, many videos while multitasking and also playing Fortnite. 

Places you go?    

We recently went to Nashville, Indiana, for the first time and enjoyed the experience. Red River Gorge, Kentucky, was great, and Gatlinburg is also a favorite of the family. We enjoy all places with limited cell service for the reasons listed above. We, for obvious reasons, have not been vacationing in Texas anymore, but Fredericksburg was our favorite! We also have a yearly trip in which Jason has meetings in Hollywood, Florida, while Ashley lounges on the beach. 

Are there any nonprofits or volunteer efforts that are important to you or a family member?    

Ashley and the D Patrick group donate each month to a different charity in both Boone and Montgomery County.

Jason and Gerber Collision sponsor the annual Birdie Bash for Jeff High School, which is a bit of a conflict as Andrew attends McCutcheon, but it is a solid event and always a nice time! 

When it comes to your neighborhood, what is a highlight for your family?    

We love the quiet, the feeling of country living, while being conveniently located in reference to the places we need to go. We love that people take pride in their homes and lawns. 

For someone new to the neighborhood, what would you like to tell them?    

Everyone waves when you pass by, wave back! We have a nice little community with friendly people.
