The practice originally flourished under the guidance of Dr. Nicholas Johnnidis, a respected figure in dentistry.  Nearly a decade ago, Dr. Adrianne Koster joined Dr. Johnnidis. Their collaboration marked a new era for the Locust Valley office.

With Dr. Johnnidis’s blessing, Dr. Koster has assumed full leadership, honoring the legacy of the practice while taking it to new heights, turning a traditional family dental practice into a regional hub for advanced cosmetic and rehabilitative care.

 

 A Journey Fueled by Passion and Purpose

Dr. Koster’s path began in Manhattan. After earning her DDS and gaining experience in the city’s competitive dental environment. She became known for her refined aesthetic approach and empathetic patient care.  

As her personal life evolved, settling in the scenic village of Sea Cliff with her husband Daniel and starting a family, the commute to Manhattan grew taxing.  That realization sparked a bold decision: rather than scale down her ambitions, she would bring the sophistication of Manhattan cosmetic dentistry to Long Island’s North Shore.

 

 

A significant part of Dr. Koster’s success lies in her rigorous training and continuing education. She is a graduate of Aesthetic Advantage, one of the most respected postgraduate cosmetic dentistry programs in the country. The program is part of NYU’s renowned Rosenthal Institute, shaped her expertise in veneers, smile makeovers, and complex full-mouth reconstruction.

Today, Dr. Koster is now part-time professor in the Manhattan-based program, mentoring the next generation of cosmetic dentists.   “Teaching has sharpened my own abilities and keeps me engaged with the latest advancements in technique and technology.” Says Dr. Koster.

Expanded treatment rooms, private consultation spaces, integrated digital diagnostics, and ergonomic design elements now define the practice. The renovation not only increased patient capacity but also enhanced the overall experience—from a welcoming reception area to a tranquil recovery room. Dr. Koster explains. “Luxury doesn’t have to be cold or sterile; it should be warm, calming, and personal.”

Plans are underway to offer in-house continuing education for general dentists, as well as a digital library of patient resources on cosmetic dentistry, bite function, and oral health maintenance.  According to Dr. Koster, “I believe we can deliver that through excellence, education, and empathy.”
