Zero is the life of the party. This spotted mixed-breed pup was rescued from Houston during Hurricane Harvey and, while his original name was “Ike,” his forever family gave him a spooky-season upgrade. Inspired by Joey’s favorite movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas, they renamed him after the film’s ghostly dog, Zero.

Zero is the extrovert to his brother Tex’s introvert. He believes he’s one of the boys and refuses to be left out of anything. If you’re in a room, he’s right behind you, or already there, waiting. Whether it’s family time, visitors, or even just a lazy afternoon, Zero is at the center of it all.

His absolute favorite toy is a deer antler, hand-delivered from his grandpa in northern Michigan. And like his brother, he’s obsessed with boat rides at the family lake house. Try leaving without him and you’ll hear about it, literally. He’ll cry until he's loaded up and cruising along with the wind in his fur.

Zero is undeniably spoiled. His family admits the dogs dictate their lives and social calendar, but they wouldn’t have it any other way. To them, coming home to Zero (and Tex) is the best part of every day.
