The Lillback’s Eclectic High Tudor Haven

Welcome to the charming High Tudor home of David and Katie Lillback, and their newest family member, Truff, a lovable Lagotto puppy. Though fairly new to Dallas, the Lillbacks are no strangers to the charm and character of older homes. Over the years, their many moves have always led them to established, tree-lined neighborhoods with great schools and a strong sense of community.
This time around, they’ve settled in as “almost” empty nesters, with their daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren just one block away, and their other daughter living nearby in Plano.
Katie’s background in design and David’s can-do attitude made their transition into their High Tudor home seamless. The real joy, and occasional challenge, has been integrating their many years of collected treasures. From art and antiques to more furniture than they’d care to admit, everything seemed to find its perfect spot here. “We chose to use all of our favorite things, and maybe a few we can’t quite part with,” Katie says with a smile. The result is an eclectic style that perfectly reflects their personalities and the life they’ve shared.
Their love for estate sales and consignment stores remains strong. In fact, they’re happy to share a few favorite finds and tips:
  • On Consignment
  • Consignment Heaven
  • EstateSales.net (for the best sales, the exact address is often posted at 6 a.m. the day of the sale)
  • Round Top – an antiques and vintage shopping destination just a few hours outside Austin, with events held throughout the year.
From their warm welcome to their love of curated, collected living, the Lillbacks’ home is a true testament to creating a space that tells your story,  one piece at a time.
