Behind Lambie’s Love: A Local Nonprofit Making a Lasting Impact

When Jamie Rose created Lambie’s Love, she wasn’t starting a nonprofit—she was answering a calling. Born out of her own experience with infant loss, Lambie’s Love exists to support grieving families during one of life’s most unimaginable heartbreaks. What began as a small gesture of comfort has grown into a powerful mission of compassion, connection, and remembrance.
Lambie’s Love provides bereavement boxes to families facing the death of a baby, often in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Each box includes carefully selected items—like hand-sewn lambs, memory-making supplies, comfort gifts for parents, and personal notes—all designed to offer tangible support when words fall short. These boxes are more than just donations; they are lifelines for families navigating the isolating and painful journey of infant loss.
Jamie personally oversees every aspect of the organization, volunteering more than 40 hours a week. From designing each box to coordinating with hospitals and families, she pours her heart into every detail. Deliveries are often made in honor of a specific baby, and Jamie handles these moments with quiet grace and deep empathy. For her, each box represents a promise that no family will be forgotten and no baby’s life will go unrecognized.
Lambie’s Love has partnered with hospitals across the Dallas–Fort Worth area, becoming a trusted source of comfort for families and care teams alike. Whether through a box delivered at just the right moment, a resource shared online, or a conversation at a remembrance event, Lambie’s Love ensures grieving families feel seen and supported.
While Jamie’s work has been recognized through awards and speaking invitations—including a keynote at the International Wave of Light ceremony in Trinity Park—she’ll be the first to say it’s not about accolades. It’s about showing up for others in their darkest hours, offering the kind of comfort she once needed herself.
“This is the club no one ever wants to be part of,” Jamie says. “But if you find yourself here, you’re not alone.”
