The Brazilian Handyman

Homes here in Seattle take a beating through the long, wet winter. That’s where Murilo Santos De Godoi, owner of The Brazilian Handyman LLC, comes in, with skill, creativity, and what he proudly calls a “warm Brazilian smile.”

Launched in January 2025, this small, family run business is powered by Murilo and his wife, Madison. Together, they bring a hands-on, can-do approach to everything from furniture assembly and drywall repair to deck refinishing, pressure washing, door replacement, light fixture installation, cabinet installation, and custom closet builds. Their motto says it all: “Faz de Tudo!” Portuguese for “We do it all.”
But what really sets them apart isn’t just the range of services, it’s the spirit behind the work. Murilo grew up in Santo André, Brazil, where he spent his childhood designing and building kites so he and his friends could fly them from rooftops. That same creativity and curiosity now shows up in every project he takes on. Whether it’s fixing a door, improving a space, or finding a new solution to a challenge, he brings energy, attention to detail, and a genuine love for the work.
Murilo’s path to starting his own business is just as meaningful. After moving to the United States as an au pair for a family in Seattle, he began picking up construction work on the side and later worked with a general contractor, gaining hands on experience in the field. In late 2024, after a life-threatening illness, he reevaluated his priorities and decided there was no time like the present to pursue his goal of working for himself. With the encouragement and support of his wife Madison, The Brazilian Handyman LLC was born.
Madison is an important part of the business. She grew up in Vancouver, Washington, where she was surrounded by the construction industry. She has hands on experience ranging from furniture restoration to building her own greenhouse, bringing her own practical skills and support to the work they do together.
As a team, Murilo and Madison share a passion for creating rather than consuming, and for using their skills to give back to the community they are proud to be part of. When they are not working on client projects, they enjoy time on Lake Washington renovating their boat, exploring Seattle, traveling, and walking the waterfront looking for birds and sea creatures. Murilo is also a passionate soccer fan, often organizing pickup games with kids at McGilvra and proudly cheering “Vai Corinthians!” At home in Lower Queen Anne, they share their life with their two cats, Tina Tuna and Nina Salmone.
As summer approaches, Murilo offers homeowners a simple reminder: don’t wait until the sun is out to notice what winter may have left behind. He encourages a walk around the home to check decks, siding, outdoor lighting, paint, and other areas that may need attention. Taking care of small issues early can help prevent larger problems later.
The Brazilian Handyman LLC is still growing, and they are currently in the process of obtaining a general contractor’s license to expand into full remodels and additional services. But at its core, the business remains the same: a hands-on, detail driven service built on care, creativity, and pride in helping homeowners bring their ideas to life.
For residents in need of reliable, creative, and detail-oriented help, no project is too small or too large. Call The Brazilian Handyman LLC and let Murilo and Madison bring care, craftsmanship, and a personal touch to your next home project.
