With record-breaking attendance and an electrifying atmosphere, the 5th Annual CNY Women’s Summit & Inaugural Women’s Market united 450+ women across Central New York for two days of empowerment, education, and business growth. Held on March 7th at The Oncenter in Syracuse, the event provided a dynamic platform for leadership development, mentorship, and economic opportunities for women-led businesses. 

This transformational event was spearheaded by Alex Canavan, Founder of CNY Women’s Network, who envisioned a space where women could collaborate, learn, and amplify their missions all in one place. With the unwavering support of committee members, community sponsors, and partners, the summit became a catalyst for lasting professional and personal growth in Central New York. 

Keynote Address by Candy Valentino – A compelling session on entrepreneurship, resilience, and business leadership from a nationally recognized speaker. Engaging Panel Discussions & Breakout Workshops – Expert-led conversations on career advancement, financial independence, and leadership strategies. Vendors – A curated selection of vendors popped up with information about their professional services and some even hosted brand activations. 

VIP Insider Session – High-impact networking opportunities with speakers, executives, and business leaders. 

Happy Hour sponsored by She Fancy Catering Co. featured a 12-foot grazing table and other unique bites. Emerald Cocktail kitchen provided samples of their signature mocktails, and Savor served up a specialty ‘Summit Spritz’.

On March 8th, the CNY Women’s Market transformed The Persian Terrace into a vibrant hub of women-owned businesses, artists and creators, celebrating International Women’s Day. Hosted with Marriott Syracuse Downtown, this free and open-to-the-public event allowed attendees to explore a diverse selection of handcrafted goods, unique retail items, and locally made products, directly supporting local women entrepreneurs and small business owners in honor of International Women’s Day.

Seeing them all collaborate, share knowledge, and invest in themselves was truly inspiring.
