The Houdes’ story begins long before Maison Avenir was born. Jennifer, a Greenville native, and Bob, originally from Massachusetts, met as students at Clemson University. That connection built the foundation for a partnership rooted in shared curiosity, creativity, and a love for exploring the world. Today, their lives are happily filled with travel, live music, outdoor adventures, and the affectionate antics of Gus, their chubby Siberian cat.

After more than two decades immersed in world-class fashion and lifestyle brands, Jennifer developed an eye that is now widely recognized - she was even honored by Elle Magazine as one of the top 50 buyers in the country. Bob’s business acumen and deep roots in Greenville provided the perfect complement. Together, they envisioned a boutique that reflected their belief that style should feel personal and accessible, not intimidating.

That vision came to life on August 12, 2025, when Maison Avenir officially opened its doors.

Personalized styling appointments, private shopping experiences, exclusive member events, and even curated luxury partnerships with local hotels allow clients to shape their experience however they choose. Whether you want one-on-one guidance or prefer to browse quietly with a complimentary beverage in hand, the atmosphere is warm, unhurried, and sincerely inviting.

“We created Maison Avenir to be elevated but still approachable,” Jennifer explains. “We never want clients to feel pressure - only inspiration.”

Community involvement is a cornerstone of the Houdes’ mission. Maison Avenir has already sponsored the BMW Pro Am and serves as the official sponsor of the Hincapie Gran Fondo After Party. Bob also serves on the board of the Greenville Police Foundation, further strengthening their connection to Greenville’s civic and philanthropic landscape.

In early 2026, they are launching a new community initiative, Style with Substance, which will highlight inspiring individuals in Greenville making a meaningful impact. It’s their way of using their platform to amplify stories of progress, creativity, and service.
