Scotland and Norway!

Mike and Alex Gregory
Earlier this summer, Mike Sigmon took a four-week trip to Europe that included cruises to Edinburgh, Scotland, and then over to Norway and Sweden on a cruise to see the midnight sun at the summer solstice, which occurred on June 20. Mike was on a Princess Cruise, and he said everything was excellent, as usual.
On some of Princess Cruises, they have guest speakers. On this one, Mike met Olympian Alex Gregory. Alex won a host of medals, including gold in the 4-person rowing event at the 2012 Olympics and in the 8-person rowing event at the 2016 Olympics. Princess also had great entertainment, and the food was fantastic!
Scotland had a wide range of activities to offer. In Edinburgh, Mike visited the National Museum of Scotland, where he found many interesting exhibits, including Dolly, the world's first cloned sheep. He also got up close with Bagpipes and enjoyed the local cuisine.
Across the North Sea, he visited Norway, where he saw many wonderful sights. In Norway, when he was there, the temperature was 40 degrees, but on the same day, it was 97 here in Hickory!
