Kurtz Family Finds Fantastic Community

Camilla Kurtz
Amanda and Shane Kurtz’s story began during their college years. Shane grew up in Plymouth, Indiana, and Amanda is from Wooster. Their lives intersected at Goshen College in Indiana. Both graduated from Goshen in 2010, and the next chapter was ready to begin.
The couple married shortly after graduating and moved to Dublin in the summer of 2010. Shane started working for technical staffing firm Omni One in 2011 and recently celebrated 14 years with the company. Amanda is a nurse with extensive experience in emergency medicine and endoscopy. She now works for 360 Vascular Institute, where she is part of a team that diagnoses, manages and treats vascular disease.
The couple now calls Banavie Court home. Daughters Ila, 6, and Camilla, 4, round out the household. Ila is in kindergarten at Deer Run Elementary and maintains a very busy schedule. She has attended classes for ballet, Irish step dance, and Kinderdance. She is also jumping into gymnastics and takes a weekly water coloring class with Amanda.
Camilla is in part-time daycare, where she loves playing with friends. She goes to the same gymnastics class as Ila and is looking forward to starting Kinderdance. Both girls also love swimming and have been taking advantage of the Dublin Rec Center pool this winter.
During the summer months, you frequently will find the family at the Holbrook Pool. Ila is learning to conquer the diving board. Meanwhile, Camilla spends most of her time jumping in the water and swimming to Mom or Dad. The family enjoys spending time on outdoor adventures. They frequent Bridge Park for the Farmers’ Market during the summer and love the parades during St. Patrick’s Day and Independence Day. They can also be found exploring the many Muirfield trails.
Their outdoor adventures have spilled over into family vacations to Central America. The Kurtzes spent a month in Costa Rica during the winters of 2022 and 2024 searching out waterfalls, hiking volcanos, visiting beaches and exploring jungles.
On Saturdays in the fall, Shane enjoys watching Ohio State football games with the girls. He and Amanda have also latched onto the pickleball craze. The Kurtzes enjoy eating meals at home together or at local restaurants including Harvest Pizzeria, Dell’s and The Pearl.
On Sundays, they worship at Heart City Church and get together with other families for small group connections on Wednesdays. Their church community has provided an amazing community that augments their Muirfield experience. For these former college sweethearts, magical Muirfield is the perfect setting for their young family’s story.
