Twinkling Tresses was started by Caroline Wroe after discovering Fairy Hair on a trip to Florida in 2015. When she couldn’t find anyone in Columbus who applied them, she decided to learn how and start her own business. Caroline said, “I stopped searching for someone local and was like, I gotta figure this out.” Rather than buy a franchise she is self-taught. Eventually, after much practice with friends and family, she perfected the application. “I tried and failed, and tried and failed, over and over again. It wasn’t as easy as it looks.” says Caroline.

Fairy hair is available in over 24 glorious colors. The sparkling hair extensions are attached to your natural hair using a crochet method.  Clients report their Fairy Hair lasting from a few weeks to a few months. Hair can be washed, dried, curled, straightened, heated up to 400 degrees, and hair can be cut and colored while the strands are in place. 

Appointments are scheduled at convenient locations in salons and small businesses around Columbus and in various cities in Florida.  This is a fun activity for a girl’s night out, bridal shower, or anytime you and your friends want to have fun or, if you prefer, individual appointments can be set. Pop-ups can be scheduled for a business or community event. Break the blah of a corporate event and collaborate with Caroline if you’re having a fundraiser. 

Caroline also offers training classes for those who want to master the crochet technique and offer something truly unique to their community. The fundamentals of Fairy Hair are taught as well as the different application methods and you’ll learn why the crochet technique sets you apart. Color choices are discussed to truly reflect the client’s personality, style, and the look they want to achieve.
