For Dave and Amber Mustafaga, the kitchen has always been more than a place to prepare meals — it is the social and emotional center of their home. When the couple decided it was time to renovate, their vision was clear: create a space that blends refined design with effortless functionality while elevating everyday living.

To bring that vision to life, the Mustafaga’s partnered with Premier Remodeling. Owner, Jeff Peters, whose thoughtful approach to craftsmanship and collaboration helped transform an ordinary kitchen into a timeless and highly personalized retreat.

Luxury design often begins with a willingness to reimagine boundaries — and in this case, that meant physically redefining some of the kitchen’s layout. Early design consultations revealed that an interior wall was limiting accessibility to the refrigerator. While subtle in appearance, this structural barrier caused the Mustafaga’s to pull out the refrigerator creating a narrow walkway between the island and fridge.

Premier Remodeling approached the challenge with precision and care. Approximately half of the wall was removed to create a graceful, unobstructed walkway allowing easy access to the refrigerator. Temporary structural shoring allowed the team to execute the modification while maintaining the home’s integrity safely. 

The result is a space that feels effortlessly expansive while remaining thoughtfully anchored in architectural stability.

With the structural transformation complete, the project moved into its most inspiring phase — updating the kitchen that balances beauty, performance, and comfort.

Custom cabinetry was installed above the existing cabinets with meticulous attention to detail and intelligently designed with glass doors and lighting to showcase treasured keepsakes. Clean lines and tailored finishes give the cabinetry a polished feel.

Quartzite countertops were selected not only for their visual sophistication but also for their durability. Full height quartzite backsplash and waterfall ends on the island create a seamless fusion of form and function that defines modern luxury living. Quartzite design was provided by the Granite Guy whose attention to detail provided a perfect flow and elegance to the space. 

   

Lighting design was treated as an essential architectural element rather than a finishing touch. A trayed lighting feature was installed above the island along with in cabinet and under cabinet lighting, blending warm recessed ambient illumination with carefully positioned pendant lighting. The result is a luminous environment that shifts effortlessly from bright and energizing during the day to soft and inviting in the evening.

Finishing details further elevated the kitchen’s aesthetics. Fluted doors under the island are seamlessly hidden and the built-in microwave drawer allows the countertops to be clutter-free.   The quartzite backsplash introduces depth, while updated, refined hardware helps create a cohesive and harmonious palette. Updated flooring ties the entire space together, offering both visual continuity and lasting durability.

At the center of the project was Amber’s inspired design vision. Drawing from curated Pinterest collections and personal style influence. She and Dave worked closely with Jeff and his team to shape the kitchen’s aesthetic identity.

Jeff Peters provided expert guidance throughout the process, helping translate inspiration into practical design solutions while maintaining careful attention to budget and material quality. Regular planning sessions and on-site walkthroughs fostered a collaborative environment that allowed creativity and craftsmanship to flourish in equal measure.

The partnership between homeowner and Premier Remodeling created a renovation experience that was as rewarding as the final result.

Spanning approximately three months, the project unfolded through carefully orchestrated phases designed to preserve both efficiency and artistry. The project concluded with a comprehensive walkthrough and punch list review, ensuring every element met the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
