Seeing a need for affordable landscape maintenance services, Jake Simmons and Owen Benner co-founded J-Brens Landscaping. “We started this business to save for college because I didn’t want to make my mom pay for it all.” says Jake.

Currently majoring in finance at the University of Cincinnati, Jake always knew he wanted to own and operate his own business so he and Owen started their own landscape company. Their business model is unique because they only hire high school or college students. This allows them to offer their clients an affordable alternative to commercial landscape companies. After 100 mulching jobs, Jake feels their crews have good experience to offer their customers. “We do pretty much any landscaping job but our bread and butter is mulching and edging.” says Jake. 

Jake and Owen attended Dublin Jerome High School where they were involved in various extracurricular activities. He and Owen are eager to get back to work this spring and summer and are happy to provide references on request. Since they will be on Spring Break from March 17th-23rd  they are giving discounts on all work done during this time.
