All The Colors of Caroline Nider
Muirfield Village is a great place for Caroline to practice her tennis skills.
Caroline Nider’s favorite color isn’t just one, it’s the rainbow, every color all together. It’s the perfect way to describe the seven-year-old - vibrant, full of life, and bursting with different passions and talents.
Caroline, or “Cricket” to her parents, is a first grader at St. Brigid of Kildare, where her favorite subjects are gym, recess, and math. She loves staying active with ballet, soccer, lacrosse, softball, and tennis. An avid dancer, she has taken ballet at BalletMet since age three. When asked, Caroline can’t choose a favorite sport, but she’ll say she loves the friends she makes through each one.
She also has a passion for music, taking piano lessons from Mrs. Anne Louise Rizzuto, fondly called Lulu Belle. At 85, Lulu Belle is the mother of the Niders’ neighbor, Donna Goldbeck, and a resident of Dublin Retirement Village. A classically trained pianist, she and Caroline share a special bond, especially over their love of glitter and sequins. For her 85th birthday, Caroline gave Lulu Belle a sequined jacket.
A few of Caroline’s favorites include waffles, Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern on Perimeter (for the best pickles), The Goonies, Johnny Cash, Kidz Bop, and the Savannah Bananas.
When she’s not playing sports or piano, Caroline can be found swimming, building Lego creations, or riding bikes with her family in Glacier Ridge Park, the “wooden playground,” as she calls it. She often makes new friends there and loves recruiting Dad to play pirate tag.
Caroline’s curiosity extends beyond the playground. This past year, she joined the Franklin County 4-H Cloverbud program through OSU Extension, designed to build confidence and skills. She took part in a food bank fundraiser, field trips, a youth engineering challenge at OSU, and exhibited at the Franklin County Fair.
At just seven, Caroline is already imagining a future as a scientist. Wherever her path leads, her curiosity and adventurous spirit will take her far.
