Ginny's Carniv-ALZ Raises Awareness and Funds for Alzheimer's
On a perfect Summer day the community gathered at Ginny's Neighborhood Pizza Joint in Murrysville for Ginny's Carniv-ALZ, a vibrant event aimed at supporting Alzheimer's awareness and research. With hundreds in attendance, the event successfully raised nearly $10,000 in support of the Alzheimer’s Association. This heartwarming occasion brought together families, friends, and neighbors in a shared mission to combat Alzheimer's and other brain diseases.
The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Pennsylvania has been tireless in their efforts throughout June, organizing events that not only raise awareness but also generate crucial funds for life-extending research and services. These initiatives are essential for enhancing the lives of those affected by the disease and their caregivers. The funds raised at Ginny's Carniv-ALZ contribute significantly to these efforts, making a real difference in the community.
A Day of Fun and Fundraising
Ginny's Carniv-ALZ offered an afternoon filled with excitement and joy. Attendees enjoyed carnival games, a petting zoo, a dunk tank, a caricature artist, and of course, delicious pizza. The event also featured a unique beer collaboration between Wye Beer and Helltown Brewing, live music, basket raffles, and more. The atmosphere was electric, with smiles and laughter echoing throughout the venue.
The event was organized by Gateway Hospice, Independence Court of Monroeville, and Ginny's Pizza Neighborhood Joint. Brittany Setaro, Marketing Director for Gateway Hospice, played a pivotal role in bringing this event to life. Brittany's deep personal connection to Alzheimer's drives her dedication to these initiatives. "Through my over 15 years in healthcare, those who are diagnosed with the disease hold a very special place in my heart. When you're around these individuals, they become a part of your own family. I enjoy connecting with them as much as possible in the community," Brittany shared.
