The Wedding Family: Building Bonds and Baking Memories in Murrysville
Larry and Ali Wedding have been married for seven years and together for ten. Their journey together began at work, where they first met. Today, they are proud parents to three wonderful children: Julian, Addie, and Ty.
Larry is the Head of Operations for Black Boot Builders, a custom home-building company, while Ali is a self-employed sourdough microbaker. Ali’s business emerged from a challenging period in her life when she faced postpartum depression after the birth of their son. Finding solace in the art of sourdough baking and her faith, Ali turned her newfound passion into a thriving business.
The Weddings love spending time outdoors and enjoy activities such as gardening, playing outside, and going on walks. They also share a love for cooking, with their favorite homemade meal being a classic combination of homemade sauce and pasta.
The family has two pets, Brutus and Penelope, who add to the joy of their household.
The Weddings moved to Murrysville almost three years ago, seeking a community that offered both a small-knit and a larger community feel. They have found just that, with friendly neighbors who are always ready to lend a hand. Their involvement in the neighborhood committee and organizing the yearly block party further deepens their connection to the community. While they haven't found a church that feels like "home," they enjoy Elevation Worship every Sunday.
The family enjoys dining at local favorites like Ginny's, Pasqualino's, and Juniper. They also cherish their family vacations to Virginia Beach. When they’re not exploring the outdoors or engaging in projects, they love spending quality time together.
The Weddings appreciate the sense of community fostered by Stroll Murrysville, their neighborhood newsletter, which helps them stay connected with their neighbors.
Ali enjoys sharing her passion for sourdough and has a delicious sourdough pizza or cinnamon roll recipe to offer, perfect for those who love baking and want to try something new.
