In The Frame
Where Creativity, Craftsmanship, and Personal Service Come Together
When Merideth Beckert opened In The Frame in Monroeville in November 2021, she had a clear
vision: create a custom framing experience that offered customers more choices, more flexibility,
and more personal service.
After spending years managing a frame shop for a major retailer, Merideth wanted to build a
business where customers were not limited by standard sizes or a narrow selection of framing
options. Today, In The Frame brings custom framing, photography, and professional printing
together under one roof.
With more than 15 years of framing experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Savannah
College of Art & Design, Merideth brings both technical expertise and an artist’s eye to every
project. Her training includes design and color theory, traditional photography techniques, and
professional framing courses through the Professional Picture Framers of America.
At In The Frame, nearly anything can become a custom project. The business frames paper
artwork, sports memorabilia, cross-stitch pieces, dimensional objects, oversized items, and one-
of-a-kind treasures. Customers can choose from a wide variety of quality frame mouldings,
matting, and glazing options, with every selection tailored to the artwork, personal style, and
location where the finished piece will be displayed.
If the ideal material is not available in the shop, Merideth can source additional mouldings and
materials to find the right fit. The goal is simple: every project should feel truly custom.
The business also offers frame repair and design refreshes, including new matting and glass to
give an existing piece an updated look. Digital photo restoration, canvas stretching, and
professional printing on a variety of paper and canvas options round out the services.
One of In The Frame’s greatest advantages is that production is completed in-house. Merideth handles the day-to-day operations and design work, with her partner, James Brady, supporting the production and technology side of the business. Keeping production under their own roof allows them to personally oversee each project from beginning to end. Customers can also feel confident knowing their artwork stays at In The Frame throughout the framing process.
Photography is another important part of Merideth’s creative work. With more than 20 years of
photography experience, she has photographed weddings, engagements, families, seniors, and
more. She particularly enjoys getting to know her clients and creating images that capture their
personalities and relationships.
Family is at the heart of In The Frame, too. Merideth and James have an eight-year-old son,
Connor, who loves being a helper at the shop and hopes to work there when he is older. Visitors may even receive a business card or piece of candy from him—or be asked if they’d like to see his favorite frame, a rainbow-glitter stunner. They may also meet Boone, the family’s Weimaraner, who can often be found at the shop waiting for customers he is convinced have come specifically to pet him.
As a woman-owned small business, In The Frame reflects Merideth’s commitment to craftsmanship, creativity, and personal service. She takes pride in building lasting relationships with her customers and the surrounding community. Many of In The Frame’s customers come from the Murrysville area, which is one reason Merideth chose to partner with Stroll Murrysville. She appreciates the way
Stroll connects local residents with small businesses and believes that a strong network of local
businesses creates a better experience for everyone.
Whether customers have a cherished family photograph, a treasured piece of memorabilia, an
unusual artwork, or a completely original idea, In The Frame is ready to help turn it into
something worth displaying for years to come.
