Purrfectly Imperfect

The Funny, Feral, and Fabulous Duo of Oscar and Fiona

Type of animals/breeds:
Cat tuxedo short hair and long hair
Pets ages:
10 and 7
When & where did you adopt your pets?
I rescued Oscar as a kitten from the Waddy gas station during frigid temperatures. I rescued Fiona as a kitten from the busy intersection of Brownsboro Road and Chamberlain.
What made you decide to make your home your pet's forever home?
Oscar was feral with FIV, but luckily, he domesticated quickly. Fiona was very feral, and she's still pretty feral, but they both love me very much, and I love them.
How did your pets get their names?
Oscar was the name I had picked out if I ever had a son, and I never had children, so I thought it was perfect. Fiona is named after the hippo born prematurely at the Cincinnati Zoo.
Do your pets have any favorite toys, places to sleep, visit, etc?
They both have their own cat towers that they love, and they both have memory foam dog beds underneath my bed that they spend a lot of time napping in.
Tell us something quirky or funny that your pets do:
Oscar deals with anxiety and likes to pluck tufts of hair out whenever I'm getting ready to leave my home. When Fiona actually lets me pet her, she's so elated that saliva just flows from her mouth, gross, I know.
How has having your pets made your life better?
It's just me and my two cats, so when I walk in the door and see how excited they are that I'm home, it brings joy to my heart.
Is there anything else you want to tell the neighbors about your pets?
Oscar was once very feral, but he domesticated quickly and is the most sociable mama's boy ever. Fiona is still a skittish fraidy cat, and she loves me and only me.
