When & where did you adopt your pet?
Coco was a rescue pup from Virginia
What made you decide to make your home your pets forever home?
My dad, who lives in Virginia, rescued Coco about 9 years ago when she was 2yrs old. About 1 1/2 years ago, he was having difficulty caring for her alone so she came to live with us full time. She has been a wonderful addition to our family and a great companion for our lab, Riley.
How did your pet get his/her name?
Coco was the name she had when she arrived at the rescue center.
Does your pet have any favorite toys, places to sleep, visit, etc?
Coco loves to be anywhere that we are…riding in the car, going to Lowe’s, trips to Starbucks, and of course the neighborhood dog parks!
Tell us something quirky or funny that your pet does:
You can set your watch by Coco. She knows exactly what time her meals should be served and when it’s time to go to the dog park.
How has having your pet made your life better?
Although she was an unexpected addition to our family, she has brought so much joy. She fit in perfectly to a big family in a busy neighborhood with lots of dogs which must have been disorienting after living a rural, quiet life in Virginia for the past 9 years.
Is there anything else you want to tell the neighbors about your pet?
Attached is a picture of Coco when she was rescued 9 years ago. She’s come so very far!
