When & where did you adopt your pet?
2019, Wauseon, Ohio
What made you decide to make your home your pet's forever home?
We had not had a pet for several years, and it was time.
How did your pet get his/her name?
Named by our granddaughters to rhyme with their pets' names. They had a Gracie and a Daisy, so we had to have a Lacy.
Does your pet have any favorite toys, places to sleep, visit, etc?
Favorite place to sleep is snuggled up between us. Favorite toy is a worn-out furry hedgehog. She loves going to the Pet Station on Fridays for Daycation.
Tell us something quirky or funny that your pet does:
She understands almost everything we say, so we started spelling words like walk, go, treat, and beach, but now she reacts when we spell them. Also, if we mention any family member's name, she runs to the door to wait for them.
How has having your pet made your life better?
Her unconditional love and affection remind us that it’s the simple things in life that are the most important.
Is there anything else you want to tell the neighbors about your pet?
Her goal is to protect her property and her people, so she barks when other dogs come near, but once she gets to know them, she is a loyal friend.
