Tanoan club member Vince DiLorenzo, who spent his teenage years growing up in the community where his family still resides, has built a decades-long career in the automotive industry—combining family legacy, hands-on experience, and a strong commitment to customer service.
For Vince DiLorenzo, the car business has never just been a career. It has been a lifelong passion. Born in Albuquerque in 1968, Vince is a 4th generation native. He has come to appreciate the sense of community that surrounds him. After settling into his current home nine years ago, he values the quiet, clean atmosphere and the friendliness of his neighbors. It is a place where connections matter, something that has also defined his professional journey.
Vince’s love for cars started early. From holding onto his Redline Hot Wheels collection from the early 1970s to receiving his first muscle car, a 1969 GTO from his father, his interest quickly grew into something more. That passion naturally evolved into a career when he began working at his family’s auto dealership, laying the foundation for what would become more than three decades in the industry.
He officially started selling cars in 1990 and spent 25 years growing within the dealership, taking on roles that ranged from sales to management and eventually becoming an invested partner and President. That experience not only shaped his expertise but also reinforced the importance of building trust with customers and maintaining strong relationships.
In 2014, Vince took a new step by launching a collector car business, which continues today. He has also partnered with his son Dylan to build and manage a used car dealership, focusing on providing quality vehicles at accessible price points. For Vince, one of the most rewarding aspects of this chapter has been working alongside his son and passing down the knowledge he has gained over the years.
Customer service remains at the core of everything he does. Vince takes pride in offering a five star experience, with a focus on delivering reliable vehicles and building long-term relationships with customers. At the same time, he recognizes the challenges that come with the industry, particularly when it comes to sourcing inventory in a constantly shifting market. His team actively works across cities like Anaheim, Dallas, Phoenix, and Denver to meet demand and maintain quality.
Through it all, Vince has stayed grounded in a simple philosophy. Provide a quality product, take care of your employees, and they will take care of your customers.
