On a perfect fall weekend in October, Mizel Family Foundation Harvest Festival guests enjoyed a lovely autumn celebration at magical Mizel Estate. 

Surrounded by vineyards and mountains, guests enjoyed shopping for art, culinary treats and pumpkins. Kids delighted in getting their faces painted, playing games and finding their own pumpkins. Adults took a brief respite in our wine garden, savoring a taste of Mizel Estate’s fine wine while listening to live music.

The Harvest Festival is our signature annual event, a celebration of what the Mizel Family Foundation team has achieved during the year. The event showcases the culmination of our 2025 educational and career programs developed for our Mizel Professional teens and young adults, who may need extra support and understanding to reach their highest potential.

Working at the event, our Mizel Professionals gain valuable job skills and experience pride of ownership as they merchandise and sell the items they have made for the event. In 2025, Mizel Family Foundation’s core educational programs have focused on three primary areas – sustainable agriculture, culinary skills and artistic expression.

Mizel’s signature pumpkin patch was planted in spring and tended through fall by our Mizel Professionals. At the event, our Mizel Professionals greeted visitors and helped harvest and sell pumpkins. Throughout the year, Mizel professionals also grow flowers, plant additional crops and harvest grapes on the estate.

Self-expression through the arts is nurtured in weekly art classes, where Mizel Professionals channel joy into works of art. As part of the Harvest Festival, our Mizel Professionals presented and sold their original art, which included hand-embellished wine bottle vases and gold-leafed notebooks.

Mizel Family Foundations’ culinary program provides hands-on experience preparing food in a commercial kitchen, serving food at parties and selling creations at a weekly bake sale. Harvest Festival guests delighted in scrumptious pumpkin muffins and fresh-squeezed lemonade made by our Mizel Professional culinary students. 

At our Harvest Festival, our Mizel team joins with families, teachers, students, local businesses and others, encouraging and inspiring our Mizel Professionals to reach their goals in a welcoming environment filled with friendship, teamwork and support.

Our aspiration for Mizel Family Foundation Harvest Festival is for everyone to leave happy and fulfilled, with a warm glow that remains long after the event is over.
