The Blumenthal Family
Always up for connection, community, and finding the fun in everyday.

For Mark and Niki Blumenthal, life has a way of coming full circle—starting in the halls of Agoura High School, reconnecting after college, and eventually planting roots right back where it all began.
Mark, 40, and Niki were three years apart in school, but didn’t become close until post-grad life. “We were friends first,” Niki says. “Then, right before I moved to New York City at 24, Mark confessed he had a crush on me. He pursued me from afar—and one day I realized I had a crush on him too!” Not long after, she moved back to LA, “basically right into his arms.”
Since then, their journey together has been full of beautiful milestones. They moved in together in 2013, welcomed their beloved corgi Harvey in 2015, got married in 2017 at a dreamy private winery in Santa Ynez, and had their first child, Owen, in 2023. “The day Owen was born is our favorite memory,” Niki shares. “Our wedding is a close second—amazing food, great wine, and dancing under the stars with everyone we love.”
Niki is a FIDM grad and built a successful career in fashion, most recently as a director of merchandise planning at a kids' clothing company. Now, she’s finding her rhythm as a mom and exploring new passions—especially in the health and wellness space. Mark studied finance at Cal State Northridge and has built his career in commercial real estate. He’s now a partner at a private credit fund manager.
The Blumenthals moved to North Ranch two years ago, drawn by the neighborhood’s beauty, friendly feel, and its reputation as a great place to raise kids. “We always knew we wanted to come back to Westlake Village—it’s where we grew up,” Niki says. “We’ve made wonderful new friends and love being close to our families, especially now that Owen’s here. He’s the first grandchild, so proximity is key!
Owen, now 22 months, is an adventurous, giggly little guy with a big personality. He loves nature, dogs, music, and his weekly MyGym classes. Whether he’s tossing balls (potential future pitcher!), playing peek-a-boo, or trying sophisticated bites like duck breast, he keeps his parents on their toes and their hearts full.
Their 10-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Harvey, was their first “baby,” joining the family at just eight weeks old. Now a seasoned companion, Harvey is happiest when he’s part of the action (and getting plenty of treats).
Mark, an avid golfer, has not one but two hole-in-ones under his belt—the first using his late grandfather’s clubs, on the first hole of the course. Niki stays inspired by wellness podcasts and natural remedies. Together, they love to cook, explore new restaurants, and wind down with a great bottle of wine.
The family has a weekend tradition of visiting La La Land Café at the Promenade, where Owen runs around waving at dogs and requesting his favorite “la la bubble water”—just a water cup, but in the café’s signature style.
Travel is big in the Blumenthal household—they recently explored the Bordeaux wine region in France and just returned from a spring break trip to Napa Valley. “It was Owen’s first flight,” Niki says. “He basically ate the whole time and made friends with everyone on board.” Between farm animals, wine tasting, and great food, it was the perfect mix for their first family trip—and they hope to make travel a yearly tradition.
Whether it’s their shared love of Dodgers baseball, their holistic approach to health, or their desire to meet more neighborhood families with young kids, the Blumenthals are always up for connection, community, and finding the fun in everyday life.
