North Ranch residents Kimberly and Farshad Fardad attend

"A Summer Soirée" at dear friends Heather Taras Greenbaum of AJA Vineyards

When it comes to setting a table, Heather Taras Greenbaum is a true artist. Her tablescapes are not simply arrangements—they are exquisite, one-of-a-kind works of art. With each design, Heather creates an entirely new experience, never repeating the same look twice. Whether she’s styling for intimate family gatherings, winery club members, or private events with friends and industry peers, her work always carries an element of surprise. Sometimes whimsical, always elegant, Heather’s tables invite guests into a world where beauty and connection flourish side by side.
Her latest creation took place at her family’s AJA Vineyards, where Heather designed a spectacular summer soirée around the vineyard’s stunning circular courtyard. At its heart stood an old olive tree, which she transformed into the centerpiece of her design. Guests, including Sherwood residents Jen and Tony Principe and Leslie Schuler, along with North Ranch’s Kimberly and Farshad Fardad, were seated around the tree in a circle—each facing inward to create an intimate and conversational dining experience.
The decision to use the tree as the focal point came from Heather’s intuition, though she admits she hesitated at first. As someone who values facilitating conversation, she avoids overly tall or obstructive designs. To test her idea, Heather staged a trial run, sitting opposite a guest across the tree. When she realized their faces were still clearly visible, she knew her vision would succeed.
The result was nothing short of magical. The olive tree, adorned with Heather’s signature touches, became the soul of the evening, creating a sense of unity and wonder for all in attendance.

For those eager to experience Heather’s artistry beyond the vineyard, her designs can be found on Instagram at @rsvptomytable. And of course, no visit is complete without enjoying the wines of AJA Vineyards. Guests are invited to their warm and welcoming tasting room, located in Santa Monica at 1417 Second Street, Suite C, where every glass tells the story of the Greenbaum family’s passion for winemaking.
Here’s to unforgettable tables, shared moments, and a glass raised to summer nights. Cheers!
