The Westlake High School Dance Team wrapped up an extraordinary 2025–26 season with a celebratory banquet on June 2 at North Ranch Country Club, and there was plenty to celebrate.

The Warriors competitive dance team earned National Championship titles in both Small Contemporary and Small Jazz at the West Coast Elite National Championships, claiming Overall High Point awards for both routines and the Best Choreography Award for Small Jazz. Multiple dances also advanced to championship finals and gala performances.

For the first time ever, the team took on an active sideline role at Friday Night Lights, debuting a new fight song routine that became an instant crowd favorite. Off the field, they represented Westlake on CBS News, partnered with the Los Angeles Rams at the LA Rams Night of Wishes at Sherwood Country Club benefiting Make-A-Wish, and played a central role in Dancing with the Warrior Stars, the program's biggest fundraiser yet, featuring NFL legends Aaron Donald and Andrew Whitworth alongside sports broadcaster Charissa Thompson.

The North Ranch and Sherwood communities were well represented, both on the floor and behind the scenes. Neighbors Danielle Holtz, Sarah Whitworth, Stephanie Wise and Tatiana Zide were among the dancers celebrated at the June 2 banquet. Adding to the community connection, Jackie Myers and Melissa Whitworth, mothers of Tatiana and Sarah, served as Co-VPs of Corporate Fundraising, helping deliver the most successful fundraising year in WHS Dance Team history, made possible by sponsors including ColourPop Cosmetics, LA Rams Cheerleaders, Élan Pilates, Thrive Dance Studio, Aspire Dance Studio, Board and Brew, Sea Casa, North Ranch Cleaners and others.
