Keeping Up with the Glenns
Between sports, music, travel, and a lively house full of pets, Joe, KJ, Alice, and Avery Glenn embrace a full life.
Meet this month’s featured family: Husband and wife Dr. Joe and KJ Glenn, and their daughters Alice and Avery. Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Glenns have been Oak Creek residents for the last four-and-a-half years. Of course, their Oak Creek home wouldn’t be complete without their “zoo” of pets, which include a dog, two parakeets, two Guinea pigs, two fish, and a cat. Whether human, fluffy, or scaly, they’re all part of the Glenn family.
Joe and KJ met at The University of Tulsa and just celebrated their seventeenth wedding anniversary. Today, Joe owns and operates Kaleo Chiropractic Clinic as a resident chiropractor. KJ once taught high school math, but also worked in Joe’s office for eleven years. Joe was inspired to enter chiropractic care because that same care helped him with an injury when he was a young adult. Now he likes to help people in the same way. Joe and KJ both enjoy running, working out, and playing tennis. Joe also coaches wrestling and jiu jitsu one night a week.
Joe and KJ aren’t the only ones with full and active schedules as their daughters keep up with plenty of their own activities. Alice plays tennis and guitar and is a member of her school’s choir. Avery loves soccer and plays year-round, be it on the field, the turf, or the gym. She also has a knack for video game coding.
As a family, the Glenns like traveling together and spending time outdoors. You can find them streaming the newest streaming shows or watching football. Joe, always ready for football season, pulls for the San Francisco 49ers, and the whole family likes watching professional tennis.
Around town, the Glenns attend South Spring Church and frequent Panera, Bruno’s, and Smoothie King (all favorites of the ladies of the family). Joe enjoys a steak from Kiepersol but loves just as much to grill in the backyard. No matter where they are or what is going on around them, the Glenns remain consistently grateful. KJ and Joe say they are most grateful for their daughters, “who impress [them] every day with their talents, intellect, and kind-heartedness.” It’s this familial pride that makes the Glenn family so special and makes Oak Creek such a fabulous place to live.
