New Year, Same Heart
January invites us to move forward with clarity, curiosity, and a renewed appreciation for the community we get to call home.
There’s something grounding about the first chapter of a new year. The calendar turns, the holiday glow fades, and suddenly we’re standing in the quiet of January; a moment that feels less like a reset and more like a deep breath. It’s a chance to look around, take stock, and ask ourselves not “How much can I change?” but “What do I want to carry with me into 2026?”
This year, I’m leaning into that gentler approach. Not resolutions that demand perfection, but rhythms that feel sustainable. Tiny commitments done often can create a bigger shift than the grand declarations we abandon by week three of the new year. It’s encouraging, isn’t it? Knowing that progress is built quietly, in the spaces between our busier moments.
In this issue of Stroll Oak Creek, we’re celebrating the people who make south Tyler feel warm, connected, and full of life. Inside, you’ll find stories about the Cowan family, Little Miss Bodle, Sissy turning two, our preferred partner Mikoto Ramen and Sushi, the Stone pups and so much more— each one a reminder of what makes our community such a special place to start the year.
I am happy to introduce our newest preferred partners: Southern Elite Realty Group and Quick Drops.
Summer with Southern Elite Realty Group believes life is an adventure, especially when it comes to real estate. She is an East Texas-based realtor, blending a robust entrepreneurial spirit with a deep commitment to serving her clients.
Francisco Lugo with Quick Drops is available for all your lawn care needs. He performs efficient and detail oriented work with the hope of bringing a smile to each customer's face.
So here’s to a January filled with clarity and comfort, curiosity and courage. May the new year bring you moments that matter, connections that inspire, and an appreciation for both where you’ve been and where you’re headed.
Cheers to 2026! May it be a year of steady growth, bright ideas, and a community you can feel.
