Bucky grew up in Lindale, and graduated from Lindale High School before attending Tyler Junior College, then the University of Texas at Tyler. He and Haley have been married for twenty-nine years, and have three children: Twenty-eight-year-old Isabella, twenty-three-year-old Hope, and twenty-two-year-old Joey. Together, Bucky and Haley are the faces behind 5W Pest Control and Home Services. As a homegrown east Texan, Bucky has been a Professional Certified Applicator for the last twenty-one years, serving the east Texas community in pest and termite control, as well as wildlife management. Bucky says he’s always been a “do-it-yourself-er” when it came to fixing and building things, and he applies this same philosophy to work today.

 

Before founding 5W Pest Control and Home Services, Bucky worked for a major pest control company for seventeen years. During this time, he learned a lot about business, relationships, and the ability to listen to a customer’s issue and come up with a plan to resolve it. After feeling the industry shift from a focus on quality to a focus on quantity, he was inspired to open a business that truly helps families. “I wanted to mix pest and termite control with taking care of anything else the customer may have had issues with,” Bucky says. “For instance, if the pest or termites caused home damage, then we wanted to be able to not only get rid of the issue, but restore the home to its original state by repairing the affected area.”
